Last Letter was my brain child that had came to fruition in a physical form. Inspired by my love of storytelling and vintage garment wear, I wanted to create a product that commemorated the wearer and their lifes journey, much like a wearable tattoo. I drew inspiration from my time in University, seeing all of the engineers being awarded their 'McMaster Engineering' varsity jacket. It had the faculty, the students name, and degree on it. Institutions have been making jackets for teams, students, and athletes since the 30's. I wanted to do the same.
I sourced vintage blanks, and had a special embroiderer to do the chain stitching all by hand. I worked on a client to client basis, and my intention was to work on 1 on 1 pieces for people, with the hope that one day we can produce our own fully sold out collection.
As of right now, I still take orders for jackets.
Below is the photoshoot I conducted for our launch.
