This journey took us to the heart of Hip-Hop and the visionary brilliance of Spike Lee.
By honouring the authentic spirit and creative force of these cultural pillars, we aimed to bring their influence to life today. This project stands as a vivid reminder that the legacies of true visionaries continue to shape and inspire the world around us.

The Future Is In The Air – 2022

For the Canadian part of a global campaign, we aimed to go beyond the usual and bring the story to life with a visual theme that shows air as the heart of creativity. Air represents endless creativity, encouraging us to create things that have never been made before. It inspires us to imagine new possibilities and use our creativity in unexpected ways. We honed in on the storytelling component, of "Future Is In The Air" and expand on it visually. Using different symbols from each of the models ethos that can captivate yet stand alone on its own.
MY ROLE:
I worked closely with Malik and Christine in fleshing out their story. We wanted to highlight their work but also their passions in a tasteful way. From concept development, to styling, my role was to assist on building the character of the two and bringing it to a physical form.
Clothing, set design, lighting, props, were all instruments used to conduct my work.

Worldwide Collection – 2021

In sports, design, and architecture, there's great value in reinterpreting and revitalizing old themes. When done well, this revival honours the past while giving it new life in the present. Stirling Studios embraced this by combining the bold, vintage-inspired designs of the Nike Worldwide Collection with the strong, striking look of Brutalist architecture.
To bring this idea to life, we worked with talented, influential people who are leading cultural innovation. These pioneers reflect the aspirational qualities of Toronto's rich and diverse culture. Partnering with Nike Toronto and supporting the collection's launch at Foot Locker, we created visuals that perfectly capture the dynamic and influential nature of these cultural leaders, showcasing their energy and spirit in every image.

Be Like Mike – 2019

Jordan Brand set out to celebrate the iconic 1992 Gatorade 'Be Like Mike' campaign. In collaboration, we created, curated, and directed an immersive brand journey identifying a fresh crop of Toronto talent who aspire to be "Like Mike." Drafting a starting line-up of creators in search of their first “Big Ring” — inspired by Michael Jordan's championship mindset and his unmatched commitment to greatness.
This project was particularly fun to be apart of, we were tasked to use up and coming talent from the city that displayed greatness. The cool part is that a lot of these people included were my friends. Khenyan, Gonnie, Emily Ferguson, etc. It made the work so much easier because it was simple, style, shoot, edit, touch up. The set used was crafted by Nike Toronto as an event space leading up to the launch of the "Like Mike" collection. Notably the Gatorade 6's were the highlight of the drop, and each of the models were seeded a pair.

The Ones – 2018
All For 1 – 2018

Nike sought to evolve the storytelling behind their iconic AF-1 silhouette in the triple black colourway for their premier retail partner, Foot Locker. To increase awareness of this narrative we helped launch a digital campaign to unpack a fresh perspective of the notorious blacked-out version of Air Force 1's. Embracing the fringe identity, we sought to shift the paradigm through visual and narrative storytelling, enlisting a trio of profoundly authentic culture conduits.

MY ROLE: This shoot I was mainly a set producer, as this was not just a Nike Toronto ad, it was actually for Nike Canada. It was a great experience, I assisted the Directors by ensuring which shots got done in a timely manner, as well as spot touch ups as they came about.

Sport Changes Everything – 2018

"Nike acknowledges the unique and unparalleled basketball culture in The 6ix, and to celebrate this, Nike Toronto’s ‘Sport Changes Everything’ campaign revisits the grassroots origins of the sport, bringing it back to the park where it all began. We joined forces with Nike to vividly portray this vibrant world through a multifaceted approach, encompassing photography, video, written narratives, and spoken word—each element amplifying what makes the city’s sports scene so distinctive.
The centrepiece of this campaign is an anthem film that tells the powerful story of a local athletes, capturing the essence of Toronto’s basketball spirit. This film was strategically launched on social media platforms to ignite a sense of pride and inspiration within the community, encouraging everyone to reconnect with the sport’s foundational roots. Through this collaborative effort, Stirling and Nike aim to not only showcase the uniqueness of Toronto’s basketball culture but also to foster a renewed passion and commitment to the game among its residents."
MY ROLE:
This project was a passion project for us as we used our pool of Vanguard talent to convey a deeper meaning of sport and art. I was able to partake in the actual video shot, as a lead for some of the younger talent to follow. We centred this shoot around the drop of the 'Coming to America' Giannis Antetokounmpo shoes. I shot behind the scenes footage that was later used for socials and short form content. I wrote the captions that was submitted for Nikes approval on socials as well as cross-usage for OOH usage.
